2009 SEASON

DAMES AT SEA
June 16 – 27

Music! Lights! Curtain! Enter Ruby, a small-town girl from Utah, fresh off the bus with only a pair of tap shows in her suitcase. Ruby quickly falls in love with a sailor, saves a Broadway show, and catapults to stardom in just 24 hours! In this send-up of the 1930’s Hollywood Musicals, love blooms, taps fly, and confusion reigns as the show leads to a hilarious climax. “Good Times Are Here To Stay,” “Broadway Baby, “Dames At Sea,” and “Let's Have A Simple Wedding” are among the hit songs of this family-friendly musical.

TALLEY’S FOLLY
June 30 – July 11

A poignant valentine to improbable love, this charming romantic comedy is a waltz, a duet, a heartwarming love story. During the summer of 1944, on a moonlit Fourth of July, Jewish accountant Matt Freidman knows he has only one chance to win Sally Talley’s heart. As they tip-toe toward love, at the Talley family’s boathouse on the lake, the fragile pair must first confront her family’s bigotry and their own tightly kept secrets. A Pulitzer Prize winner, this beautiful tale is considered by many as one of the sweetest plays ever written.

HOW THE OTHER
HALF LOVES

July 14 - 25

Set in London, in 1969, where the Beatles are hot and fashion is mod, three mild-mannered couples face domestic chaos in this ingenious and brilliantly crafted British farce. The comedy takes place in the homes of two of the couples and the audience sees all of the action unfold simultaneously as both homes are a single set. Complications collide and hilarity ensues during two dinner parties that happen on consecutive nights, but take place on stage at the same time. It is a dizzyingly hilarious look back at the swingin’ 60s, baby.

BREAKING UP
IS HARD TO DO

July 28 – August 8

This new blockbuster musical of Neil Sedaka's most popular songs spins a light-hearted tale of mistaken identity, friendship and love. At a Catskills resort in 1959 Lois and Marge, two teen-age friends from Brooklyn, are in search of good times and romance during a weekend get-away. Journey back to a more innocent time and relive summers gone by with such musical numbers as “Laughter In The Rain,” “Next Door To An Angel,” “Solitaire,” and “Love Will Keep Us Together.” Anyone who’s ever experienced summer love will rejoice with this retro feel-good musical.
