From its humble
beginnings in 1947, Saint Michael’s Playhouse has blossomed into an
award-winning, highly regarded equity theater company, recognized by The
Drama League in NYC as "One of the best regional theater companies in
America." Featuring talent from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional
theaters nationwide and housed in one of the finest theater facilities
in the state, the Playhouse attracts approximately 15,000 theatergoers
each season to see live theater, produced, rehearsed, and performed in
the beautiful green mountain state of Vermont. The Playhouse’s
nationally recognized internship program has been the springboard for
many successful careers in professional theater across the country.
The Playhouse operates under contract with
Actors' Equity Association
as
a member of the
Council of Resident Stock
Theaters. Actors' Equity Association, founded in 1913, is the union of
professional actors and stage managers in the United States whose mission is
it to advance, promote and foster the art of live theater as an essential
component of our society. By presenting
