Playhouse is Northern Vermont's Actors’ Equity resident stock theater
company. From its first season in 1947, performing in an old wooden farm
building, this professional theater has blossomed into a high quality
equity theater company presenting full-scale critically acclaimed works in
a vibrant up to date theater complex.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
-
Saint
Michael's Playhouse, equity company, air-conditioned, 366-seat, fully
equipped summer theater in Vermont. Hands-on position working with Shop
Supervisor, Master Carpenter, interns. Duties include budgeting, drafting,
materials specification, build, load-in, set maintenance, strike. Must be
proficient in CAD and manual drafting, construction, rigging, and
production scheduling. Two week build per production. DAMES AT SEA,
TALLEY'S FOLLY, HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES, BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO. Mid May - early August.
SCENE SHOP SUPERVISOR

Michael's Playhouse is an equity company with fully equipped,
air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont. Hands-on
position with responsibilities that include build, load-in, maintenance of
set, strike, load-out, training of interns. Two week build per production.

PAINT CHARGE -
Saint Michael's
Playhouse is an equity company with fully equipped, air-conditioned,
366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont. Paint Charge works closely
with Scenic Designer, Technical Director and Property Master. Possible
running crew assignments. Mid June – early August. Two week build per
production. Paint Charge to be hired for three shows of season: DAMES AT
SEA, TALLEY'S FOLLY, HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES, BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO.
Early June - late July.
PROPERTY MASTER -
Saint
Michael's Playhouse is an equity company with fully equipped,
air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont. Property
Master works closely with Directors, Scenic Designers and TD. Hands-on
position with duties that include procuring and/or building props,
supervising at least one intern. Possible running crew assignments. Early
June – early August. Two week build per production. DAMES AT SEA, TALLEY'S
FOLLY, HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES, BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO. Early
June - late July.
MASTER
ELECTRICIAN -
Saint Michael's
Playhouse is an equity company with fully equipped, air-conditioned,
366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont. Hands-on position with
duties that include executing/maintaining lighting design, hang, focus,
changeovers, running crew. Work with Lighting Designers, TD, ATD, and
staff. Seeking high level of expertise in electrics. Early June – Mid
August. Two week build per production. DAMES AT SEA, TALLEY'S FOLLY, HOW

early August.
COSTUME SHOP MANAGER
- Saint
Michael's Playhouse is an equity company with fully equipped,
air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont. Must
possess extensive shop management experience, knowledge of costume
construction, strong organizational skills. Hands-on position with
duties including managing shop, building, shopping, maintaining
costumes, supervising/training interns. Two week build per production.

STITCHER
& DRESSER/WARDROBE MANAGER -
Saint Michael's
Playhouse is an equity company with fully equipped, air-conditioned,
366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont. Work closely with shop
manager, designer, directors, and actors. Seeking candidates with
advanced stitching skills and wardrobe maintenance experience.
Responsibilities include costume shop duties as well as running wardrobe
in performance. Early June – Mid August. Two week build per production.

PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP
- All
Playhouse internships are paid positions. Contract runs from May 30-August
9, 2009. Saint Michael's Playhouse is an equity company with fully
equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium summer theater in Vermont.
Producing four professional equity productions DAMES AT SEA, TALLEY'S
FOLLY, HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES, BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO and two children’s
shows. Seeking candidates with a very high level of previously acquired
skills in a variety of areas of theatrical production; Scenic, Costumes,
Props, Electrics, and/or Stage Management. Interns work closely with
professional supervisors, directors, designers, staff and equity actors.
Schedules are rigorous; interns work day AND evening crews. Applicants
must show a strong interest in furthering their professional development
and a commitment to working in an equity stock theater.
